The Bautista Project's 2018 Winter Mission took longer than expected, but it is now complete! We delivered 12 blankets and pillows to the local children's home!
Let's rewind. How did this mission even happen? We started the year (2018), by asking our supporters to donate used Army uniforms. We collected bags, and bags of uniforms for months on end. Our plan was to make as many blankets and pillows as we could to later distribute to the homeless community. The idea was great! We had two sewing machines, there were two of us, sounds like a match. Yes? No... One thing I forget to mentioned earlier, neither one of us knew how to sew. So, why plan to sew blankets without the knowledge to do so? Well that's simple. We believed that this mission was meant for us to complete and it would be completed by any means. Have you ever heard the saying: God doesn't call the prepared, he prepares the called? Well that was us, we were called to do something, and along the way; we were taught, helped, and empowered by people on our path, to complete this mission.
Mission Complete, Thank you God!
At the Bautista Project, we make it our mission to help provide for the local homeless community. No matter where we are in the world, we take an active part in giving back to the locals. In 2018, we are in Fort Drum, NY. The winters here can be unbearable and in some cases, deadly. We will be using profits from this quarter to provide blankets and pillows to the young homeless community. Being displaced is hard enough for young people. They shouldn't have to live without something to call their own. Help us make their world a little warmer and more comfortable with your purchase from The Bautista Project.
